The Hawk-Eyes project is only possible with the support of funding for satellite tags and capital works necessary for the deployment of these devices.
The project was initiated in 2019 with funding from the Department of Justice Assets Recovery Community Scheme (ARCS), with support from members of the Raptor Subgroup of the Partnership for Action against Wildlife Crime Northern Ireland (Northern Ireland Environment Agency, RSPB NI, PSNI, Health and Safety Executive NI, DAERA, National Wildlife Crime Unit and Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute NI).
Funding was also received from Dara McAnulty who ran a private fundraiser along with his mum Roisin (see blog here). Funding has also been received from additional private sponsors, the Golden Eagle Trust (GET), the Environment Fund administered by NIEA and The Heritage Council.
