As part of Heritage Week 2025 Red Kite Team Members from the NI Raptor Study Group and the Golden Eagle Trust will meet people in the northern home of the red kite near Castlewellan – Co. Down.
We will talk to people about the species, the reintroduction and the past, present and future of this iconic species that has been restored to Irish skies.
The team will be on-hand to help you learn more about Hawk-Eyes, the tracking and movements of red kites across Ireland – north and south. Hopefully both buzzards and red kites will be seen on the day!
